Summer 1995: I spent a month at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. I documented stained glass for the church while learning its history, and earning rare access to spaces few see. Shot on 4x5 film—some interiors requiring 20-minute exposures—these images reveal the beauty and scale of this multicultural sacred landmark.
